    The HPBIA is kicking off the Christmas 2024 season with a bang! Finish (or start!) your Christmas shopping, have a seat by the fire to roast marshmallows, and have a bite to eat at one of the food trucks! There will be a mailbox drop-off for children wishing to send their letters to Santa, and live music to dance to all day.     The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University invites you to the Salsa Band's fall concert! The Salsa Band—dubbed Los Gansitos ("the baby geese") in honour of Western's perennial guest stars—plays music from places like Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and New York, commonly called ‘Salsa.’

    Western University Symphonic Band Concert: Tempered Tunes

    The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University invites you to the second Symphonic Band concert of the season! The program opens with The Sinfonians by Clifton Williams, followed by Grainger's Irish Tune from County Derry, Kirkpatrick Fanfare by Andrew Boysen Jr., Allan Gordon Bell's evocative work From Chaos to the Birth of a Dancing Star, and concludes with Tempered Steel by Charles Young.

    Maggie's Wake: Spirit of the Season

    Maggie’s Wake, an award-winning folk band from Southwestern Ontario, blends traditional folk with contemporary styles like jazz, Americana, and classic country. Led by Tara Dunphy and Lindsay Schindler, the band has been performing to sold-out audiences, earning accolades such as the 2023 Forest City London Music Award for best Folk group. Their debut album, Maggie’s Wake, released in March 2024, has received critical acclaim.

    CPKC Holiday Train

    The 2024 CPKC Holiday Train will tour Canada and the U.S. Nov. 21 through Dec. 20, raising money, food and awareness to support food banks across our network. Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages all attendees to make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation. The CPKC Holiday Train will be making a stop at the train tracks near the intersection of Richmond Street & Piccadily Street in London, Ontario, on November 24th, from 8:30 PM - 9 PM.
