Spanning eight weeks, this competition will feature over 80 comedians delivering their best jokes, each vying for a spot in the grand finale.     Paul Marinaro is a highly acclaimed jazz vocalist based in Chicago, praised for his exceptional vocal talent and modern interpretations of classic jazz material. He has established himself as one of the top male jazz singers today, earning numerous accolades for his performances, including at major venues such as the Chicago Jazz Festival, Birdland Jazz Club in NYC, and international stages across Europe and Canada. Marinaro's debut album, Without a Song, which was inspired by his father’s dream of becoming a professional singer, received widespread acclaim and led to further critical success with his live album One Night in Chicago and subsequent performances with jazz legends like Sheila Jordan. In recent years, Marinaro has continued to expand his artistic reach, releasing his sophomore album Not Quite Yet in 2022, which showcased a more personal and introspective side of his music, shaped by the global pandemic.     The Mehregan Persian Festival of Autumn is an ancient Persian fest dedicated to Mehr (or Mithra/Mitra), the goddess and symbol of light, friendship, faith, love, and kindness.     The Fugitives

    The Fugitives are an acoustic folk-roots group headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod. They’re joined by banjo player Chris Suen (Viper Central) and violinist Carly Frey (The Coal Porters). Over their first five albums, they’ve amassed a JUNO nomination, 6 CFMA nominations, and toured extensively through Canada, Europe, and the UK. Performance highlights include major Canadian folk festivals, a Glastonbury performance, and a tour supporting  Buffy Sainte-Marie. In 2020, the band created RIDGE, a WW1-centered theatre show. Ridge has been performed at theatres across Canada and was named a Globe & Mail Top Arts Pick of the Year.
