The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University invites you to the second Symphonic Band concert of the season! The program opens with The Sinfonians by Clifton Williams, followed by Grainger's Irish Tune from County Derry, Kirkpatrick Fanfare by Andrew Boysen Jr., Allan Gordon Bell's evocative work From Chaos to the Birth of a Dancing Star, and concludes with Tempered Steel by Charles Young.

Enjoy a concert by El Sistema performed on Thursday, October 24, in First-St Andrew's United Church, at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6 PM. El Sistema Aeolian is part of a global movement designed to offer free universal access to an intensive collaborative music program. There are millions of participants in over 80 countries and the program has spread across Canada quickly. Canadian Provincial and National Associations are forming. Their local program offers five days of instruction to our participants including orchestra, choir and piano lessons. Meals and snacks are also provided. Their participants give approximately 10-20 concerts per year in various settings.

The 2024 CPKC Holiday Train will tour Canada and the U.S. Nov. 21 through Dec. 20, raising money, food and awareness to support food banks across our network. Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages all attendees to make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation. The CPKC Holiday Train will be making a stop at the train tracks near the intersection of Richmond Street & Piccadily Street in London, Ontario, on November 24th, from 8:30 PM - 9 PM.
