Have Your Say: Ontario Tourism Strategy Survey Extended to November 1stOntario’s last Tourism Strategy was developed in 2016 and it’s time for an update! The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) is proud to be leading the charge by creating a new, industry-led and market-driven strategy to drive growth in our sector. TIAO is calling on business operators, sector organizations, suppliers, investors, governments and educational institutions to participate in this important process. Your voice is crucial to ensure that Ontario’s tourism industry not only recovers but that it thrives and aggressively competes in the global market. The deadline has been extended. You have until November 1st to fill out the survey. Applications Now Open for the RAISE Grant ProgramThe Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism is pleased to announce that the 2024-25 RAISE grant program is now open for applications. The RAISE grant program provides access to business development training, culturally responsive and tailored business coaching, networking opportunities and a one-time grant of $10,000 to support Indigenous, Black and other racialized entrepreneurs. Who is eligible?
Applications for the program must be submitted on or before October 30 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Applications are processed in the order they are received. Eligible applicants will be accepted into the program until the program budget is reached. Destination Canada Tourism-Hospitality Culinary Online Job FairOrganized by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office at the Canadian Embassy in France, this opportunity is open to Canadian employers seeking to hire specifically for tourism, hospitality or culinary positions. Candidates who are French-speaking and bilingual with training and/or experience in hospitality, restaurants or other tourism occupations are seeking opportunities in Canada (outside Quebec).
