      Experience a WWI Christmas Story, in 1914, a brief, unofficial truce took place along parts of the Western Front, as soldiers on opposing sides marked the season together.

      During this event small groups will be led through the Heritage Village, where they will learn about life during the war and will experience the unique story of the Christmas Truce at our replica WWI trench.

      Presented in Partnership with History Matters Association.

      Event Details and Reminders:

      • Groups will be led through 4 buildings as well as our replica trench where presenters will share WWI history and stories. 
      • This is an outdoor event.  Please dress for the weather.
      • This event will traverse uneven gravel pathways in dark/low lighting
      • Tickets will be sold for designated Tour Times, please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to be checked in. Late arrivals may not be guaranteed entry for their tour.
      • Length: Approximately 2 hours once taken inside the Heritage Village.
      • This event takes place after dark on Friday and Saturday evening.
