Celebrating 10 years of their debut album ‘Negative Qualities’, Single Mothers, founded by Drew Thomson in 2008, have turned a tumultuous history of internal conflict and instability into a driving force for their feral punk music. Originating from challenging backgrounds across Ontario, the band experienced numerous lineup changes and personal struggles, yet their explosive live performances and compelling songwriting have garnered a dedicated following. After disbanding in 2011, their EP gained cult status, prompting a return in 2012 with renewed focus. Now signed to Dine Alone Records and XL Recordings, Single Mothers continue to channel their chaotic energy into their music and relentless touring, proving that their tumultuous journey fuels their creative success.
