Experience the wonders of Canada Day with Argyle!
The Argyle BIA is back again with another day full of fun for the annual East London Canada Day celebration!
This year, the Argyle Business Improvement Association (BIA), aims to bring together the East London community for Canada Day by having multiple interactive stations for people to engage with. This includes a community fair for vendors and local businesses, a series of fun educational segments, and activities geared for all ages. East London, specifically the Argyle area, is such a vibrant community filled with so much diversity and culture and the BIA wanted to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the events of the day while feeling represented and valued.
As in past years, there will be a wide assortment of activities to engage in - from a history room aiming to educate people about the important historic moments in Canada and London specifically, a reptile zoo, tattoos and face painting, and much more! If you’re looking to beat the heat, there will be free swim and gym time available as well as a misting tent that you can stop at after grabbing a snack from one of the many food trucks that will be on site.
The East London Canada Day event is on Monday, July 1st, starting at 1 PM at the East Lions Community Centre. This event will continue throughout the day and will end with a firework display closing out the night from 10 PM - 10:30 PM. There will be a cordoned off area to ensure a safe location for the fireworks to be set off.
